Two Celebrity ships to leave fleet?

The Royal Caribbean Group owes forty nine percent of Pullmantur Cruises which may acquire two Millennium Class Ships from Celebrity Cruise Line according to bankruptcy documents filed by the Spanish-based cruise line. The cruise lines former fleet was scrapped back in June when it filed for bankruptcy. Pullmantur hopes that the acquisition of two of Celebrity's ships will provide "a more modern design with a greater number of cabins with balcony."

The two Celebrity Cruise Line's Millennium Class Ships that may go to Pullmantur have yet to be formally announced, however one can speculate it will be the Celebrity Constellation and the Celebrity Infinity because neither ship has been renovated under the Celebrity Revolution modernization.

If Pullmantur successfully acquires two ships from Celebrity it would impact sailings in the Caribbean, and in Europe with many of these Constellation sailings being over seven nights in length. Celebrity Infinity also sails the Caribbean, and in Europe with sailing lengths from 4 nights to fourteen nights.
