How long will the wait be for Celebrity Beyond?

According to Seatrade Cruise News Celebrity Beyond which will be Celebrity Cruise Line’s third Edge Class ship originally scheduled for completion in 2021 will now be delayed until 2022 with an anticipated ten month delay.The ship is being constructed at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in France. The delay is due to the shipyard shutting down due to Covid 19.
The Edge class ships which Include Celebrity Edge, Apex, Beyond, and two more ships on order but yet to be named are larger than the Millennium Class ships, but smaller than the Solstice Class Ships.
The signature features of the Edge Class ships include the Magic Carpet which is affixed to the side of the ship. This flexible venue can be moved up and down amongst the decks for different functions. It can be used as a tender docking platform. In addition it can also be used as an outdoor dining venue on deck 5 at Raw on 5; or it can be brought up to deck 14 to become a bar area on deck 14.
Other notable features of the Edge Class include The Retreat pool area for suite guests, Eden which is a venue similar to Two70 on Royal Caribbean a flexible venue that acts as a lounge, dining venue, bar and entertainment space. This class of ships offers many other new features such as new dining venues.
